    Training with In Yoga Flow is a unique, yet challenging, experience. Completing our YTT in Bali will take you through a blissful journey of transformation and self-discovery, surrounded by the timeless spirituality of the Island of the Gods, “Gilli Air”
    At In Yoga Flow, we believe in creating balance in our lives and our body. As a way to achieving this, our 200hr yoga teacher training delves into both Vinyasa Flow Yoga, Ashtanga, and Yin Yoga. We take pride in producing teachers who have a comprehensive knowledge of these styles of yoga.
    Our approach is modern, playful, and mindful of today’s lifestyle, while at the same time drawing on traditional concepts. Whether you are looking to teach yoga or simply want to deepen your practice, our teacher training will give you a solid foundation in Ashtanga, Vinyasa, and Yin.


    Pranayama – You will benefit of an early morning pranayama practice along the course. This ancient yogic technique helps to create a deep awareness and control of the breath, and awakes the life force of energy flowing through the whole body. 

    Ashtanga Yoga  – A deep study and practice of Ashtanga yoga is the central part of this course. You’ll create a sustainable practice of the primary series, and study in depth all its asana and principles. 

    Philosophy – Yogic philosophy from ancient yogic texts are guidelines not only for the practice on the mat but for daily life beyond the mat. We will learn and discuss some of these principles so you can integrate them into your day to day life with ease and comfort. 
    While taking time to contemplate life, being, consciousness and the universe.

    Yoga Anatomy & Alignment – A good understanding of the human body and movement, in different asanas is the key knowledge for any yoga teacher. Learn about the right alignment of asanas to ensure safe and stable practice.

    Teaching methodology & Teaching practice – A quality yoga teacher needs to be able to create a safe and supportive environment for the students. Key teaching principles and methodology will be discussed and implemented. 

    Vinyasa & Flow design – Practising vinyasa yoga is fun and you will have more fun while designing and teaching your own class. Learn how to sequence an awesome yoga class and guide your students with confidence and ease. 

    Meditation & Yin Yoga – Relax and rejuvenate with a gentle yin practice to find the balance of internal peace. Followed with a meditation, we will explore different meditation techniques to heal your body, mind and spirit.

    About Food served during the training A healthy and balanced diet is available during the training that suits the yoga practice. We believe yoga training is an intense experience for your body and mind and therefore we want to support your journey with the right diet for everyone. There is a large choice between local and western food in the menu. Although non-vegetarian food will be available, we strongly encourage you to keep your diet light during the course. Vegetarian and vegan meals are great options. If you have special requirements concerning the food, please let us know beforehand. We encourage eating meals together as it is the best way to connect with each other. We connect, laugh, share stories and silence too during the meals.

    How to get here

    How do I get to Gili Air?

    The best way to get to Gili Air is by fast boat which leaves 3 times daily from Padang Bay. You can book these online or when you arrive in Denpasar. Padang Bay is approximately an hour and a half drive from Denpasar, and some booking companies will have a free shuttle included when booking the fast boat.     Visa & Health information

    Do I need to get a visa to come to Indonesia?

    Some nationalities do need Visas to come to Indonesia so we recommend you do your own research prior to the training.

    Is Gili Air safe?

    Gili Air is extremely safe and there is nearly no crime however we always recommend you take adequate caution for yourself and your belongings.

    Weather & What to Bring

    How can I prepare myself for the teacher training?

    In Yoga Flow teacher trainings can be intense & the better prepared you are the better outcome you will receive, remembering ultimately you are responsible for your own experience. We recommend practicing yoga of any style, at least twice a week in the months leading up & participating in Ashtanga classes where you can prior to the training, getting used to being awake and ready by 6:30am and eating as healthy as possible, as the less changes in your life the easier it will be. You will be sent prereading to study at your leisure prior to commencement of the training. We recommend you read this twice to gain better knowledge of the theory.

    What’s the weather like?

    Typically the weather is warm and humid (island life), consistently around 30 degrees Celcius. Don’t worry, all rooms are airconditioned.

    Do I need to bring my yoga mat?

    It is definitely recommended you bring your own mat. We will have some there, however it is nice to have your own as you will be spending a lot of time sweating on the mat 🙂

    What do I need to take with me?

    If you typically have blocks and straps in your practice please bring them, comfortable clothes that you can move easily in for asana practice, any medications or creature comforts from home that you may not find on a remote island.

    What about internet and local mobile?

    There is free Wi-Fi at our venue (Salim Cottages), and we always recommend using WhatsApp as it is free while on WIFI. You can also get local sim cards that work well on Gili but we recommend purchasing these prior to arriving on Gili Air.

    About laundry?

    There is a laundry on site and also a number of places within Gili itself. This is charged per piece, which is quite cheap.

    Can I buy everything I need in Gili Air?

    Gili Air is a remote island that is like taking a step back 100 years. There are no cars or motorbikes on Gili which makes it extremely peaceful, and to get around you can hire push bikes for approx. 5 AUD per day. That being said, we recommend you bring everything you need for the duration of your stay.
