Along with embarking on the journey to become a teacher, you will study the eight limbs of Patanjali's yoga philosophy with an emphasis on how you can incorporate this into your own practice and everyday life.
Daily singing, meditation, and pranayama provide a spiritual structure and complement the more physical practices of the curriculum.
We opened our school to be able to spread the yoga teachings & lifestyle with people from all over the world. That's why on your days off we organise different trekkings or sightseeing if you are interested. There is no better way to get to know the island than with people who lives in it. One Sunday we will all walk to the peak of El Teide (3.718 meters high). And at the end of the course days you can relax by the pool or in the garden chill out zones.
Our course is divided into 4 categories:
- Techniques, Training & Practice. In this category you find Asana, Pranayama & Subtle Body and Meditation. You will receive 100 hours of this category mixed in practical and theory classes.
- Anatomy, Phisiology & Biomechanics is our second category that you will learn during 32 hours.
- Our third category is called Yoga Humanities, where you will learn the history of Yoga, its philosophy and Yoga ethics for Yoga Teachers in 34 hours.
- And our last category is called Professional Essentials, where during 54 hours of the course we will teach you how to sequence a class, with its proper pace & cueing techniques and making a good environment. In this category you will also learn all the professional development needed to work as a yoga teacher and most important of all, to lead a class every day of the course the last 2 weeks of it. Weather & What to Bring
Tenerife benefits from the consistent weather that Spain’s Canary Islands are noted for, with warm days throughout the year. Situated 1,500 miles south of the UK and lying at the same latitude as the Sahara Desert, Tenerife sees a climate that is warm all year round but with some remarkable regional variations. Average daily temperature is 22 - 24°C Tenerife offers attractive weather all year round, so it depends on what temperature and climate best suits you. Summer in the south of the island will be relatively cloudless, hot and dry with excellent sea temperatures for swimming and water sports. The north will be a little cooler during the same period but still pleasant. Rain is most likely between November and February, but the average six hours of daily sunshine and average peak temperatures above 22 °C. August is when most tourists visit. At any time of year Tenerife can experience Calima – a hot and dusty wind with origins in the Sahara. Temperatures will rise and visibility will deteriorate, and a fine layer of dust will cover outdoor objects. These conditions usually last for a few days. |
