“The Sanskrit word Vinyasa comes from a prefix vi, which means variation, and a suffix, nyasa, which means ‘within prescribed parameters.’ vinyasa means “to place in a special way.” Each movement is a gradual progression from one to the next. The movement is aligned and linked with the breath so that you move with each inhale and exhale. Vinyasa-style yoga classes are ones where there is a dynamic flow from posture to posture. Vinyasa Yoga connects one posture to the next using the breath. This can be thought of as linking or flowing into postures which is sometimes why it’s called “Flow Yoga”. The opposite of this would be an alignment-based class where students engage with a posture, explore it for a period of time and then “break the posture” by coming out.

    “Vinyasa Multiple Meanings- The Sequence:

    Why Vinyasa Flow Yoga?

The practice of linking breath and movement to flow through postures invites us into an expression that is sometimes missing in other forms of the practice. It the experience of being alive, connected and free.
It reminds us that everything is connected and interdependent.

The food is easy to digest and helps in maintaining good health while providing complete nutrition and improving stamina and immunity. An Ayurvedic diet is an eating plan that provides guidelines for when you eat, what you eat, and how you eat to boost your health, prevent or manage the disease, and maintain wellness. If you follow an Ayurvedic diet, you'll eat primarily whole or minimally processed foods and practice mindful eating rituals. The diet is based on Indian Ayurvedic wellness systems that date back thousands of years. Some studies have shown that Ayurvedic lifestyle practices - including the diet - can help improve your health. But following an ayurvedic diet for weight loss isn't necessarily a proven method to lose weight. The word "Ayurveda" is a combination of two Sanskrit words that mean life (Ayur) and science (Veda), so the literal translation of Ayurveda is "the science of life." How to get here Arrival by airplane Please book a plane ticket to Indira Gandhi International Airport (DEL). You can also book a plane ticket from Indira Gandhi International Airport (DEL) to Dehradun airport (Jolly Grant). The price of that ticket ranges depending on when you book it, but it’s usually around 40 to 60 USD. The taxi from the airport to Laxman Jhula is around 15 USD. It's the fastest way to reach Rishikesh. Since the yoga school has a tie-up with local transporter, you can ask them if you need an airport transfer to the school and their team will be happily assisting you. From Indira Gandhi International Airport (DEL) to Rishikesh School by taxi will cost you 70 USD and from Dehradun Airport to Rishikesh School by taxi will cost you 15 USD. The distance from Delhi to Rishikesh is generally 6 hours but traffic, time of day, and holidays/festivals can make the journey longer. The three major methods of transportation to get from Delhi to Rishikesh are a private car, bus or plane. Hiring a private car to take you from Delhi to Rishikesh is the easiest option for first-time travelers to India with bus and train being more complicated. A private car will cost around 70 USD from Delhi to Rishikesh. You have the opportunity to meet up with other students in your yoga teacher training group to arrange to share a private car in order to keep the cost down. Arrival by bus Depending on the time your plane arrives in Delhi, this can be a tricky option. Volvo buses (best condition) from Delhi to Rishikesh stop running around 9 p.m. at night. If your plane arrives in Delhi around evening time, you will have to get a hotel for the night and then make your way to Delhi ISBT (Interstate Bus Terminus) in the morning. From the airport, get a prepaid taxi to take you to Delhi ISBT. Only go to the government-approved taxi stand located right outside the airport exit. The price from the Delhi airport to Delhi ISBT will be 700 INR. Once you arrive at Delhi ISBT, navigate your way to the bus station’s ticket stands on the second level (go up the escalator). Make sure to ask the bus driver/bus director where they drop off at Rishikesh. You should depart from the bus at Rishikesh Bus Station (there’s only one) which is usually their last stop if their destination is Rishikesh. Once you arrive at Rishikesh Bus Station, find an auto-rickshaw (tuk-tuk) to take you to Tapovan at Himalayan Holistic Yoga School.
