I was always a fan of traditional yoga and on a mission to educate people, that there is more to Yoga than Asanas .
As "True Yoga Reviews" crossed my path I was happy to see an iniciative that cared about the different Yoga Teacher Trainings so Seekers would have First-Hand Experiences of the Ambassadors. And of course the Yoga Teacher Tranings nowadys offer lots of different path with more or less traditional influence. So everybody can find the training that fits him well.
For me personally it is very important that the teacher training is based on traditional yoga philosophy. As a Sivananada Yoga Archaya with two trainings in India I got a very good insight in the yoga philosophy and it helped me to understand where Yoga comes from and why it works.

My personal path brought me in the direction on Bhakti-Yoga, mainly the aspect of chanting mantras and Japa (Mantra-Repition). But as no Yoga-Path exist without the other I still follow the other two teachings of Jnana-Yoga and Karma-Yoga as it had been taught in the Bhagavad Gita as well. And I practice Raja-Yoga, like it is taught in Pantanjalis Yoga Sutras.
So the moment "Kidding Around Yoga" crossed my way I was thrilled to see that this Teacher Training is based on the Teachings of Swami Satchidananda, the founder of "Integral Yoga". He follows the tachings of the Bhagavad Gita and Pantanjali and made it accesible to the modern world and to Children!
As I said in the beginning, I like to educate people in traditional Yoga. Therefore it was only logicial for me to include children. They are our next generation and wouldn `t it be wonderful if they start with the Practice of Yoga as soon as possible and spread it to the world?

"One peaceful child at a time"
Haris Lender the founder of "Kidding Around Yoga" used to live next to the Satchidanada Ashram-Yogaville and led the Yogaville-Camp for eleven Years. She created her own program "Kidding Around Yoga" to teach the kids and teachers with lots of music and fun. But she never forgot the roots of Yoga, so all classes include Meditation, Pranayama, Asana, Relaxation and a little teaching of Nutrition, Raja- , Karma- or Bhakti-Yoga, specialy prepared for children of different ages. "Kidding Around Yoga" has a huge amount of Songs for Kids-Yoga available in Englisch, German, Spanisch and Dutch!

"Music makes us move"
For me personally "Kidding Around Yoga" was a perfect match for several reasons.
1. The combinaton of On- and Offline-Training saved my resources money and time. I could do the four online-modules whenever I had Internet, what is great if you are travelling yogi like me. The Weekend-Training was only two hours away from my town Hamburg in Berlin, Germany. Felice, the Teachers Teacher is a travelling Yogi as well and offers the training all over Europe, Australia and New Zealand in Englisch or German.
2. Working  through the modules was a great refresher for the yoga-philosophy and lots of Asanas. And if you are a newly Yogi it is a easy and fun way to learn all about it. And if you like to dive deeper in the Material you get very god hinds how to do so.
3. As a Kirtaniya I like the idea of working with music to bring the yoga dicipline to children.
4. It is such a great honour to teach Yoga to the next Generation. You might heard of this quote from the Dalai Lama: “If every 8 year old in the world is taught meditation, we will eliminate violence from the world within one generation.”
